All of the pictures below are scenes from Brighton Beach,
New York. These photographs were first publicly displayed as part of a
group exhibition called Photographic Visions at the Great Neck Arts Center in
Great Neck, New York. On January 23, 2000, a review of the exhibit in the
New York Times, Long Island Section, stated that "the most outstanding and
accomplished presentation [was] Sherman Wolfson's series showing casual moments
among the bathers and chess players in the Russian community in Brighton
Beach." The pictures can be special ordered in virtually any size,
and can also be made up as greeting cards. You can order the entire series
or selected pieces.
