In 1957 he emigrated to the United States, and he now makes his home in upstate New York. Working in soft watercolors as well as oils on masonite, his beautiful portrayals of New York City and upstate New York have homes at President Sucarno's Palace in Indonesia as well as the New York Times building and City Hall in New York City.
